You Never Know Who You’ll Meet
A few weeks ago I took some time off and visited a small little town in Mexico called Sayulita. You never know who you’ll meet. During an unplanned breakfast I noticed a gentleman who was probably in his 60’s sitting alone. I said hello, and the next thing I knew we were talking about his life story. He left Brooklyn, New York 40 years ago and moved to this small town. He was attracted by its beauty and the friendliness of the locals. He shared with me that he was an author and had written a couple of books on the Mayans and the year 2012. He wrote the books over 20 years ago and at the time did not make much money for his work. Now that we are getting close to 2012, he stated his books are selling like hot cakes, and he’s now receiving significant royalties every month. His message to me was to never give up because sometimes you’re bleeding edge and sometimes your leading edge. Your time will come when you need it most. What a great message and what a great meeting!
